Netflix바카라™s young adult streaming series 'Class', which has been adapted from the global hit Spanish series, 'Elite', released on February 3. The show features a dynamic, young ensemble cast that includes Gurfateh Pirzada, Anjali Sivaraman, Ayesha Kanga, Chayan Chopra, Chintan Rachchh, Cwaayal Singh, Madhyama Segal, Moses Koul, Naina Bhan, Piyush Khati and Zeyn Shaw.
Actor Chandan K Anand best known for his work in several TV shows and films including 바카라˜Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl바카라™ and Imtiaz Ali's 바카라˜Love Aaj Kal바카라™, features as business tycoon Suraj Ahuja in the show, which has been helmed by director Ashim Ahluwalia.Â
In a conversation with Outlook, the actor opened up on how the show is different from other teen shows and how he prepared for his role. Excerpts from the interview:
How is 바카라˜Class바카라™ different from other teen shows?
People may find 바카라˜Class바카라™ ahead of time but we all know it바카라™s a competitive world. We all preach to kids to be their best, set their goals, and tell them it바카라™s not the time to rest, and money and power is everything. When this kind of society is created, pressure comes on the children and soon competitiveness and ill- will seep in. So all the characters in 바카라˜Class바카라™ are in a way wicked and dark. I would say though the series Class is set in the rich society but this world prevails and it바카라™s a clear reflection of our youth.
What are the nuances of your character?
I am portraying Suraj Ahuja, a well known builder and business tycoon based in New Delhi. He is politically connected and it바카라™s his school, Hampton International, where the show 바카라˜Class바카라™ is set. My own daughter is murdered during the show, and the whole series is about unfolding the mystery who killed her. Also, I have a very estranged relationship with my daughter Suhani Ahuja.
How was your working experience with your co-actors since most of them are new comers?
Each and every cast member, while working, was into their characters. They all were passionate and gave their best. I would say the entire cast and crew team were professional, passionate and were together to bring out the best film making experience to the audiences. I was impressed and that바카라™s how professionalism should be. Also, for all of us, 바카라˜Class바카라™ was a really big project. Finally, we all are happy and proud to be a part of this 바카라˜Class바카라™ with our director Ashim Sir바카라™s vision.
What preparation did you undertook for your role?
Well, every role which comes, is a challenge because an actor has to bring life to what바카라™s just on paper. It바카라™s the soul that an actor has to bring to any role or character and it바카라™s not easy. My character Suraj Ahuja is a high-profile multi-millionaire builder who is into construction, money laundering, black money and drugs.
What's next for you in terms of projects?
It바카라™s a good time for all the actors as there are so many platforms and they all are coming up with a number of web shows. I am lucky to be a part of few, including 바카라˜Deadline바카라™ directed by Rakhee Sandilya and starring Mona Singh. I am also shooting for 바카라˜Fighter바카라™, directed by Siddharth Anand starring Hrithik and Deepika Padukone. So I am excited and looking forward to some great filmmaking and performing happening in future.
