US President Donald Trump declared in a social media post on Sunday that there will be no tariff exemptions. This announcement comes after the tariff pause on electronics announced on Friday by the Administration, which incentivised US tech companies, who had previously expressed concerns about the 125% tariffs against China.
Originally the US government allowed tariff exemptions for electronic goods, imported mainly from China. The US Customs and Border Protection Agency published a list of 20 product categories, including computers, disc drives, semi-conductors, and memory chips as a part of the exemptions.
However, Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick indicated that the tariff exemptions are only temporary. 바카라They're exempt from the reciprocal tariffs but they're included in the semiconductor tariffs, which are coming in probably a month or two,바카라 Lutnick told ABC바카라s 바카라This Week바카라 on Sunday.
Trump in his trade war with China, states that no one is 바카라getting off the hook바카라, especially 바카라hostile trading nations like China바카라. Adding to the confusion, claiming that there was no exception at all, with the goods just moving to a 바카라different Tariff Bucket바카라.
Today Trump has escalated the tariffs on China to 145%. China, in response urged the US to 바카라completely cancel바카라 reciprocal tariffs and retaliated with a 125% tariff on US goods.
Trump's administration predicted the trade war would result in companies like Apple, manufacturing goods within the US, but this has proven unlikely, seeing as companies have fabricated a supply chain in China for decades.
Still, Trump reiterates his plans to make key electronic products within the United States, and to no longer be 바카라held hostage바카라 by other countries like China.
Trump further adds that the Tax and Regulation Cuts, which have been approved by the House and the Senate, will set the course towards the 바카라Golden Age of America바카라.
Trump claims that the cuts will lead to higher-paying jobs, American-made products, and treating other countries, in particular China, the way they have treated the US.
