From Brendon McCullum to Chris Gayle, several batters have etched out a career hitting the big scores. From big scores to crucial knocks that led to nail-biting matches, here is a list of the five best knocks in Indian Premier League history since its inception in 2008.
David Miller바카라s 101* vs RCB (2013)
South African batter David Miller바카라s unbeaten century against Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) remains one of the finest knocks in T20 cricket. Representing Kings XI Punjab, Miller came in with the Kings down four wickets while chasing a target of 191.
The southpaw hit the ground running, hitting a flurry of boundaries (eight fours and seven sixes) to snatch away victory with 12 balls remaining.
Yusuf Pathan바카라s 100 vs MI (2013)
Yusuf Pathan바카라s century against Mumbai Indians (MI) remains one of the best knocks in a losing cause in IPL바카라s history. Batting first, MI posted a tall total of 212, and Rajasthan Royals (RR) had the worst start to their chase, losing four wickets with less than 50 runs on board.
Pathan was in no mood to go down without a fight, hitting nine fours and eight sixes to score one of the fastest centuries in IPL history. His dismissal courtesy of a fantastic run-out by R Satish doomed KXIP바카라s charge, who lost by four runs.
Brendon McCullum바카라s 158* vs RCB (2008)
Kiwi legend Brendon McCullum announced IPL바카라s arrival to world cricket with a sublime knock for the ages in the very first game of the tournament. Facing RCB, the KKR batter smashed 158 runs in just 73 balls, hitting 10 fours and 13 sixes along the way.
This led to KKR posting a total of 222, and both this and McCullum바카라s score would top the IPL charts for years to come. The batter later admitted in an interview that the knock 바카라changed his life바카라, and it surely changed franchise cricket as well.
Rinku Singh바카라s 48* vs GT (2023)
Even though Rinku Singh바카라s score is not the highest individual score, it remains one of the most scintillating knocks because of the tough circumstances in which it came. Chasing Gujarat Titan바카라s (GT) total of 202, KKR were looking at a certain defeat when Rinku came on the pitch.
The batter protected his wicket to take the match to the final over, where the Knight Riders needed 29 runs. Then, 바카라Lord Rinku바카라 flicked the switch and hit five consecutive sixes in the last five balls to secure the unlikeliest of victories for KKR.
Suresh Raina바카라s 87 vs KXIP (2014)
In the qualifier match against KXIP, CSK was chasing a target of 202 and needed something special after going down two wickets for seven runs. Suresh Raina, not known for big hits, changed gears, and hit a mammoth 12 boundaries and six sixes to post 87 runs in 25 balls 바카라 with a strike rate of 348.
All but seven of the 25 deliveries he hit cleared the ropes, and his score is still the most runs scored by any batter in the IPL powerplays. His dismissal at the end of the powerplay hit a brake in CSK바카라s chase, and they eventually fell short.
