Despite being a formidable force throughout the Tri-Nations T20I Series 2025, Japan fell short in the final, losing to Thailand by six wickets at the Sano International Cricket Ground in Kanto on Sunday, May 11. (More Cricket News)
After a rain delay, Japan won the toss and opted to bat first. However, skipper Kendel Fleming바카라™s decision backfired soon as the hosts were restricted to just 106/8 in their 20 overs.
Thailand바카라™s Jandre Coetzee was on fire with the ball, picking up 3 wickets for just 10 runs in her 4-over spell and putting Japan on the back foot early.
Fleming fought hard for his 38 off 42 balls, while Sabaorish Ravichandran chipped in with 21. Makoto Taniyama stayed unbeaten on 13, but the total still felt well below par.
In reply, Thailand started strong with opener Akshaykumar Yadav starting the chase with a steady 37 off 46. But then Japan caused a few hiccups-Chaloemwong Chatphaisan fell for a duck, and Desungnoen and Coetzee didn바카라™t last long either. But in the end, it was captain Austin Lazarus who kept his cool and finished the job with an unbeaten 39 off 29 balls.
Thailand crossed the line in style, finishing at 109/4 in 19.5 overs, and taking home the Tri-Nations title in Sano.
