Welcome to the live coverage of SA20 2025. Sunrisers Eastern Cape are hosting the Pretoria Capitals at the St George's Park in Gqeberha.

Sunrisers Eastern Cape had a terrible start to the tournament with three consecutive losses. However, after that they have gained back-to-back victories, both against Durban Super Giants. Another win tonight and SEC will get their tournament back on track.

Pretoria Capitals too are not in the greatest of form. They have just a sole win to show so far in the five games that they have played. Two of their matches have been washed out while they have also lost the same number of games. A win today is really important for the Capitals.

A terrible start for the Sunrisers. They lost Crawley in the first over but the wickets continued to fall. Eathan Bosch has now taken two wickets to put Sunrisers in deep trouble. He has dismissed Tom Abell and David Bedingham. Aiden Markram has come to bat at no5 and is giving support to Jordan Hermann.

A tough powerplay for SEC while the Capitals will be elated with their top-class bowling display in the first six overs. Bosch returns with two wickets, Behrendorff took one and now the Sunrisers want their skipper Markram to play a captain's innings. Otherwise, it would be another one-sided game.

Time-out taken. Markram and Hermann have now put 34 runs for the fourth wicket. They have given some solidity to this Sunrisers innings but runs are yet to come. The run rate is still less than six. We might see some more action now. Either some boundaries or some wickets.

Hermann and Stubbs dismissed in one over and things just keep getting worse for the Sunrisers. It is a pitch for spinners and apart from Markram, no SEC batter has looked comfortable here. Marco Jansen is currently on the crease alongside Markram.

Jansen too has been dismissed. Neesham bowls him. He played a good hand of 24 and gave support to Markram who has now moved up to 41. A very crucial partnership this was for the Surisers Eastern Cape. Can they get a big finish?

SEC get to 149/7 in 20 overs

A brilliant innings from Aiden Markram. Remarkable stuff. Came in the powerplay when his side was in absolute trouble. He first weathered the storm and then launched at the death to take SEC to a score they would not mind after the kind of start they got. Liam Dawson too hit a few towards the end. The Capitals would be a bit disappointed with their death bowling but they know that the score is still chaseable.

Marco Jansen is making the batters dance to his tunes. Two overs, five runs and the wickets of Jacks and Gurbaz. Add to that the wicket of Russouw that Gleeson has taken and the Sunrisers have a dream start. They are defending a decent total and this is a perfect start for them. Capitals want Verreynne and Ackermann to rescue them.

PC 27/3 (4) need 123 runs

Jansen keeps striking. He finishes the powerplay with seven runs and three wickets in three overs. Brilliant spell. Pretoria Capitals in all sorts of trouble at the moment. However, they will take heart from the fact that Sunrisers too were in a similar state at this point in the innings. But the problem is: Who will Capitals' Markram? Currently Ackermann and Lion Cachet are in the middle.

PC 34-4 (6) need 116 runs

Ackerman and Lion Cachet have added 25 runs so far. They are not quite bothering about the pace of runs so far. But Capitals would hope for some attacking shots now as the required run rate keeps going towards the double digit mark. Sunrisers would not mind as long as the boundaries do not come.

After Jansen cleaned up the top order, Dawson is taking care of the middle order for Sunrisers. Dawson too has taken three wickets and now the outcome of the game is more or less sealed in the favour of the Sunrisers. The Capitals have just not been able to stitch any partnership and they are paying for it. The required run rate is 10 and they do not have enough batters left.

Another wicket for Marco Jansen and the Sunrisers stand a wicket away from victory now. Jansen closes his spell of four overs with 13 runs and four wickets.

Sunrisers Eastern Cape were 53 for five in 10 overs and at that point if somebody had said that they would get a one-sided victory, everyone would have laughed. But that is just what happened. Aiden Markram rescued Sunrisers with an exceptional half-century and then Marco Jansen dismantled the Pretoria Capitals with four wickets. Liam Dawson too had a good outing with three wickets and crucial 11-ball 25. The Sunrisers Eastern Cape have won by a massive 52 runs and earned yet another bonus point. They have really revived their campaign with a hat-trick of wins after three straight losses.

Thre consecutive wins after three consecutive losses for Sunrisers Eastern Cape. And all of them with bonus points. They go to the third place with 15 points. Pretoria Capitals are now in a tough place. Just one win in six games with this being their third loss apart from two no results. They remain second from bottom.

Aiden Markram gets the accolade for his composed half-century that bailed Sunrisers Eastern Cape out of trouble. 68 not out runs from 55 balls for Markram.
