Match 5 of the ICC Women바카라™s T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier between Thailand Women and Bhutan Women has been called off due to persistent rain in Bangkok. The match was initially scheduled to begin at 7:30 AM local time at the Asian Institute of Technology Ground on Saturday.
Thailand and Bhutan have faced each other only once in T20Is, with Thailand coming out on top. As a result, the head-to-head record currently stands at 1-0 in favour of Thailand.
The hosts Thailand kicked off their campaign with a dominant eight-wicket win over Kuwait. Bowling first, they restricted the visitors at only 56/8 in 20 overs and then chased down the low-total in only 9 overs finishing at 57/2. Both the teams will clash again on May 13.
Meanwhile, Bhutan open their campaign with a point after their match was washed out due to rain on Saturday. They will face Kuwait on May 12.
