An all-round display from skipper Hayley Matthews helped West Indies defeat South Africa by six wickets in the second women's T20 international at the Three Ws Oval in Bridgetown, Barbados, on Sunday, 22 June, 2025. The Windies thus bounced back in the three-match series, drawing level at 1-1. South Africa had earlier clinched the ODI series 2-1 and then won the first T20I by 50 runs.
Player of the Match Matthews struck 63 not out off 56 balls and returned miserly figures of 1/15 in four overs, as the hosts chased down Proteas' target of 114 runs with four balls to spare. The third and deciding T20I will be played at the same venue on June 23 at 11:30pm IST.
Earlier, West Indies Women had won the toss and elected to bowl first.
