This is now getting embarrassing for Auckland. Coman has his second in the 22nd minute and Bayern are scoring goals for fun. If things continue at this rate, we might see a double-digit margin of goal difference.

A 17-minute stretch without a goal seems like a lengthy one at this point, after the mayhem in the first quarter of this contest. Auckland settling down a little bit in their defensive structure, though by no means wresting possession or threatening to score yet.

The brief dry spell ends and Bayern pump in two more goals in the first half. Thomas Muller nets in the 45th minute and Olise gets his second in the third minute of added time to send the Bavarians 6-0 up at half-time.

The second half has Bayern attacking from right to left and Auckland attacking, if you can call it that, from left to right. Bayern are in the act straightaway as expected but the New Zealand outfit has managed to ward them off in the first 11 minutes post resumption.

The first goal of the second half comes in the 67th minute. Jamal Musiala joins the scoresheet and this is now officially the most goals scored by a side in a FIFA Club World Cup match.

One brings two for Musiala. The midfielder earns a penalty and steps up to send Auckland 'keeper Tracey the wrong way. Bayern have their eighth goal in the 73rd minute.

Hat-trick for Jamal Musiala! The 22-year-old German international came in as a substitute and already has the most number of goals in the competition. He nets for the third time in the 84th minute and Bayern now inch closer to double digits.

And the rout enters double digits. The outgoing Thomas Muller notches up a brace with his 89th-minute goal and Bayern score their 10th of the night. Five minutes of added time in the game, which Auckland would want to forget in a hurry.

The full-time whistle finally blows, much to the relief of Auckland. The scoreline reads 10-0 in Bayern's favour, in what was perhaps the most one-sided game in FIFA Club World Cup history. The Bavarians make a thunderous start to their campaign, while the New Zealand outfit will try to return to the drawing board and reset.
