Prabhas starrer 바카라˜Salaar바카라™, helmed by Prashanth Neel, released in the cinema halls of December 22. The film, which was one of the most awaited projects this year, made a great debut at the box office by collecting Rs 95 crores nett domestic on its opening day in India. As per industry tracker Sacnilk, 바카라˜Salaar바카라™ witnessed an 88 percent occupancy in Telugu on the first day, after getting released in five languages바카라“ Hindi, Telugu, English, Tamil, and Kannada.Â
Interestingly, as per film바카라™s producers Hombale Films, Prabhas바카라™ film has made Rs 175 crore (early estimates) worldwide gross. In the USA and North America, the film was at the second spot in the top 5 premieres gross for Indian movies, and collected $2.60 Million. With its collections, the film is just behind 바카라˜RRR바카라™ with $3.46 Million. Other top-grossing films across that region include 바카라˜Baahubali 2바카라™, 바카라˜Kabali바카라™, and 바카라˜Leo바카라™ with $2.45 Million, $1.92 Million, and $1.86 Million, respectively.
Coming to the domestic market, Shah Rukh Khan바카라™s 바카라˜Jawan바카라™ was the biggest opener of the year so far as it collected Rs 75 crore nett on its first day. However, 바카라˜Salaar바카라™ has dethroned 바카라˜Jawan바카라™, and proved to be a massive comeback for Prabhas.Â
His last film, the big-budget period drama 바카라˜Adipurush바카라™, opened with Rs 86.75 crore nett in India. He was also seen in 바카라˜Radhe Shyam바카라™ with Pooja Hegde, and opened with Rs 43.10 crore nett. In 2019, his other film 바카라˜Saaho바카라™ had also collected Rs 89 crore nett. However, the box office numbers for all these films hugely dipped in the first week. As for director Prashanth Neel, who previously helmed the 바카라˜KGF바카라™ films, the box office opening for 바카라˜Salaar바카라™ is not the best of his career. His 2022 film 바카라˜KGF 2바카라™ opened with Rs 116 crore nett in India and collected over Rs 1000 crore worldwide.
바카라˜Salaar바카라™, apart from Prabhas, also stars Prithviraj Sukumaran, Shruti Haasan, and Jagapathi Babu in pivotal roles. Produced by Vijay Kiragandur, the project would be released in two parts: 바카라˜Salaar: Part 1 바카라“ Ceasefire바카라™ and 바카라˜Shouryaanga Parvam바카라™ as Part 2.
The film clashed with Shah Rukh Khan바카라™s 바카라˜Dunki바카라™ at the box-office. Helmed by Rajkumar Hirani, 바카라˜Dunki바카라™ collected Rs 30 crores on the first day, and it has raced past Rs 50 crore nett at the box office in two days of its release.
