About Drishyam franchise

Directed by Nishikant Kamat, Drishyam was released in 2015. It follows the story of Vijay and his family and how they land in trouble after they accidentally kill the son of a police officer. It shows how Vijay saves his family from police custody using his wit and intelligence.

The sequel, which released in 2022, came with new twists when the same case was reopened and Vijay playing the same brain game and getting away with it.

Besides Ajay, Drishyam first and second part starred Tabu, Shriya Saran and Ishita Dutta. Akshaye Khanna was the new addition to the sequel.

Drishyam is one of the most loved franchises and we hope the third part will also be able to achieve the cult status like the previous ones.

Both films are the Hindi remakes of Mohanlal's Malayalam blockbusters of the same name. Apart from Hindi, it was also made in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Sinhalese and even Chinese.

In February this year, Mohanlal confirmed Drishyam 3 with Jeethu Joseph. The original Drishyam was released in 2013, while the second instalment came in 2021.
