Earlier, there were reports of Ananya Panday playing the lead opposite Kartik Aaryan in Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri. On Monday, Karan Johar, whose production house is backing the upcoming project, has officially announced Ananya as Kartik's co-star.
The film marks Kartik and Ananya's reunion after their 2019 film, Pati Patni Aur Woh. It is also the first collaboration between Karan and Kartik after their fallout over Dostana 2.
Taking to his Instagram handle, Karan shared a picture featuring Kartik Aaryan and Ananya Panday holding a passport. He also announced the release date of Tu Meri Main Tera Main Tera Tu Meri.

The romantic-comedy is produced by Dharma Productions and Namah Pictures and is directed by Sameer Vidwans.
In December last year, the announcement was made with a motion poster with Kartik's voiceover in the background where he says he had three breakups and his ex-girlfriends had gone through a lot. He is making sure it doesn't happen with his fourth girlfriend and that's why he has taken mother's promise to make his relationship work.
Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar have also teamed up for an upcoming supernatural comedy, titled Naagzilla. The film marks their second official collaboration.
Directed by Mrigadeep Singh Lamba of Fukrey franchise, Naagzilla will release on Nag Panchami, on August 14, 2026.
Kartik also has Anurag Basu's romantic film, with Sreeleela.
Ananya Panday, who was last seen in Kesari Chapter 2, with Akshay Kumar, has reportedly completed shooting for Chand Mera Dil.
