Laapataa Ladies actress Nitanshi Goel aka Phool Kumari made heads turn at Cannes 2025. The 17-year-old walked the Cannes red carpet in a custom-made black and gold gown by Jade by Monica and Karishma (MK) on Day 3 of the festival. She also attended the screening of the film Dossier 137.
What Nitanshi Goel wore for Cannes red carpet
Nitanshi Goel was styled by celebrity stylists duo Shrey Vaishnav and Urja Amin. Her gown came with a strapless neckline, a corset bodice, the voluminous structure on the waist attached with a tulle base, was embellished with gold floral embroidery, and a skirt, with a train flowing on the back, and a floor-sweeping hem length added glamour and elegance to the couture.
The outfit was crafted with Kasab embroidery and delicate macrame detailing on a sheer black fabric.
She opted for minimal jewellery- wearing a dainty gold choker necklace, serpentine earrings, and rings. Her hair was styled with a sleek ponytail, and wore subtle and dewy makeup.
Nitanshi spoke to Brut from the red carpet, and said, "I am feeling very excited. I have butterflies in my stomach. Oh my God! This really feels like a dream come true. It feels incredibly special to be here at Cannes this year. It's my first time, and I am feeling very overwhelmed, and very grateful to be able to represent India on the global stage."
For her first appearance at the Cannes India Pavilion, she chose the same label- Jade by Monica and Karishma. She donned a pre draped ivory saree, but it was her hair accessory that stole the show. It featured miniature photo frames of legendary Indian actresses.
The handmade pearl hairpiece, crafted by Be Abhika, was decorated with miniature photo frames and it was Nitanshi's tribute to the evergreen superstars- Madhubala, Rekha, Sridevi, Vyjayanthimala, Hema Malini, Waheeda Rehman and Nutan. Each photo had black and white pictures of these actresses.

Nitanshi perfectly showcased a balance between classic and modern trends with both her Cannes looks.
