Filmmaker Karan Johar announced his upcoming project, Dhadak 2, in May last year. He also revealed the lead cast바카라Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri and also unveiled a teaser. The film was supposed to hit the screens on November 22, 2024 and later the release date was pushed to March, 2025. It reportedly faced trouble to get clearance from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), due to the portrayal of cast discrimination in several scenes of the film.
Now, as per a report in The Hindu, "scenes featuring caste-based discrimination like slurs and violence in Dhadak 2 were removed or modified by the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), clearing the way for the film바카라s release months after its original release date."
What are the modifications in Dhadak 2?
The same report stated that a dialogue in the film in Hindi 바카라 바카라3,000 years of backlog will not be cleared in just 70 years" has been changed to, 바카라The backlog of age-old discrimination will not be cleared in just 70 years.바카라
Another dialogue which seems to referring to an analogy by the Bahujan Samaj Party바카라s founder Kanshi Ram has also been reworked.
Yet another dialogue which has been replaced is, 바카라Nilesh ye kalam dekh rahe ho...., Raaj kar rahe hain바카라. The new dialogue is 바카라Yeh chota sa dhakkan puri qalam ka thoda sa hissa hai aur baki ke hai hum phir bhi hamare sir per baithe hua hai kyu.바카라
A five second shot of someone urinating on Nilesh is also censored. Use of slurs such as 바카라chamar바카라 and 바카라bhangi바카라 바카라 have been muted and replaced with 바카라junglee,바카라 respectively.
Also, sixteen seconds of a three minute scene featuring the 바카라humiliation of Nilesh바카라s father바카라 has been removed. A dialogue saying, 바카라Dharam ka kaam hai,바카라 (바카라this is religious work바카라), was replaced with 바카라Punya ka kaam hai바카라 (바카라this is [work toward] a good deed바카라).
One more dialogue, 바카라Savarnon ke sadak 바카라 humein jala dete the.바카라 (바카라The savarana바카라s street(s) 바카라 they would burn us [alive]바카라), was replaced with 바카라Na Sadke hamari thin a zameen hamari thin a paani hamar tha yaha tak ki zindagi bhi hamari nahi thi marne ki naubat aayi to shaher aagaya".
A 20-second disclaimer before the film was replaced with a one minute 51 second version. A swear word was muted, and a scene featuring violence against a woman was replaced with a 바카라black screen바카라.
Also, in one of the songs, a doha by Tulsidas has been replaced.
Dhadak 2 has been certified with 바카라U/A 16+바카라 rating.
Directed by Shazia Iqbal, it is a remake of the Tamil anti-caste 2018 film Pariyerum Perumal, which was released with four cuts, But Dhadak 2 had to undergo sixteen modifications.
