At least 31 Palestinians have been killed and around 150 others injured after Israeli tank fire struck near a humanitarian aid distribution centre in Gaza, according to local rescue teams and the Red Cross hospital in Rafah said to BBC.

The incident occurred amid ongoing Israeli military operations in the region. Emergency responders reported that the shelling hit an area close to a facility where civilians were gathering for aid.

As per BBC, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said in a statement that it is currently unaware of any injuries caused by its fire at the aid site and confirmed that the matter is under review.

This latest violence comes after Israel reimposed a total blockade on Gaza and resumed its offensive against Hamas on March 18, ending a two-month ceasefire brokered by the United States, Qatar, and Egypt.

The renewed fighting has intensified humanitarian concerns in Gaza, where access to food, water, and medical supplies remains severely restricted.

Proposed Ceasefire

A ceasefire proposal put forward by the United States on Thursday is 바카라œstill under consideration바카라 by Hamas but it will only 바카라œlead to more killing and famine in Gaza바카라, according to an official of the Palestine group, as reported by Al Jazeera. The US White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt has asserted that Israel has agreed to the proposal but the Hamas political bureau member Basem Naim told the Reuters news agency that the deal 바카라œdoes not meet any of our people바카라™s demands, foremost among them, halting the war바카라.

According to Naim, the leadership is actively considering the proposal with full responsibility.

Along with the 60-day ceasefire, the proposal includes the release of 28 Israeli hostages alive and dead in the first week and the release of 125 Palestinian prisoners sentenced to life, as reported by Reuters. The deal also entails the transfer of the remains of 180 dead Palestinians. It states that Hamas will relieve the remaining 30 hostages once a permanent ceasefire deal is established.

In addition, Israel has demanded the dismantling of Hamas as a military and governing force.
