Actress Janhvi Kapoor has time and again opened up about her mother Sridevi and the pressures of being the daughter of the late legendary actress. Now in a recent interview with Agenda Aaj Tak, the actress talked about the late actor's legacy, and revealed how she felt having an 'unfair advantage' being her daughter.Â
Revealing how she would not take advice from Sridevi and prevent her from coming to the sets of her debut film 바카라Dhadak바카라, Janhvi admitted that it it 'was very silly' on her part to not utilise her access to Sridevi, who was 바카라the best actor to come out of India바카라.Â
The actress said in Hindi, 바카라When I was doing my first film (Dhadak), I was so conscious that I wanted to stay aloof from my mother because people were saying that I got my first film because I am Sridevi's daughter. I went on a different trip and thought I wouldn바카라t take any help from her. If she acted a certain way, I would do the complete opposite. I used to tell her to not come on the sets, to not help me. I used to feel as if I had an unfair advantage, a trump card thinking 바카라How many people have access to Sridevi Kapoor, who is the best actor to come out of India?바카라 I used to feel that it바카라s already an unfair advantage, it will be more unfair if I take her advice.바카라'
She further mentioned how she now feels 바카라silly바카라 to have run away from being her daughter, and for taking people very seriously. She said at the event, 바카라I regret now knowing the fact that she was dying to be on the set with me, to help me as a mother. And I didn바카라t let her. So, I think it바카라s one of the biggest regrets because sometimes I feel like if I just said 바카라Mumma, I have a shoot, please come quickly.' Maybe she would have been there. I think I have come around to that.바카라
Lastly, she said that she is now proud of being her parents바카라 daughter because even if people debate on whether her being Sridevi바카라s daughter is correct or not, they cannot change it, because that is the actual truth.
Janhvi will next be seen in 바카라Devara바카라 and 바카라Mr And Mrs Mahi바카라. She made her acting debut in 2018 with the romantic film 바카라Dhadak바카라. The Shashank Khaitan-directorial, also starring Ishaan Khatter, was the Hindi remake of the 2016 Marathi film 바카라Sairat바카라.
Sridevi died of accidental drowning in Dubai in February 2018.
