Hollywood actress Nicole Kidman is all set to star in a murder mystery series, Girls and Their Horses, which will release on Prime Video, as per a report in Variety.
The show is based on Eliza Jane Brazier's 2023 novel of the same same. It will be co-produced by Legendary Television and Amazon MGM Studios.
The official logline of the show reads: "A murder-mystery set in the beachside equestrian community of Rancho Santa Fe, California, Girls and Their Horses follows the newly wealthy Parker family as they aim to position their teenage daughters in the rarified, sometimes-deadly world of competitive horse riding."
Brazier will write the first episode of the show and will executive produce alongside Jenna Lamia, who will also serve as the showrunner. Apart from acting, Nicole Kidman will also serve as executive producer along with Per Saari under their Blossom Films banner.
Girls and Their Horses marks the reunion of Kidman and Lamia after the Netflix's popular miniseries The Perfect Couple. Kidman starred in it and also executive produced, while Lamia created the series.
Kidman's recent projects include Holland and Nine Perfect Strangers Season 2. She has two upcoming series- Scarpetta at Prime Video and Margo바카라™s Got Money Troubles at Apple TV+.
The 57-year-old was honoured with the Women in Motion award at the 78th Cannes Film Festival.
In 2017, Kidman vowed to work with a female director every 18 months, and she exceeded that pledge, having collaborated with 27 female directors in eight years. The award was feted out to her for the promise she kept to support female filmmakers.
