This week OTT platforms have a plethora of fresh films and series of different genres. From emotional dramas, actions to thrillers, there is a range of binge-worthy titles. Also, there is Akshay Kumar's Housefull 5 and Kamal Haasan's Thug Life which audience can enjoy in theatres.

Tourist Family (June 2)- JioHotstar

The Tamil-language film follows Dharmadas (M. Sasikumar), his wife Vasanthi (Simran) and their two sons seeking refuge in Chennai, after they flee from Sri Lanka, due to post-pandemic economic problem. They face several challenges with the language and culture, but eventually form bonds with their new neighbours. Their lives become complicated when a investigation related to a bomb blast, threatens to expose their true identity. The movie is about resilience and will power to survive.

Stolen (June 4)- Prime Video

The crime thriller follows the abduction of a baby from the mother, Jhumpa바카라™s (Mia Maelzer) arms, when she is in deep sleep in an isolated railway station. Abhishek Banerjee바카라™s character Gautam Bansal becomes the prime suspect, behind the abduction of the baby. Gautam and his brother, Raman played by Shubham Vardhan, join Jhumpa to find the missing child. While doing so, they are caught in a deadly web of murder, and violence.

Stolen marks directorial debut of Karan Tejpal, who also co-wrote the film alongside Gaurav Dhingra and Swapnil Salkar 바카라“ Agadbumb. The film is produced by Gaurav Dhingra under the Jungle Book Studio banner, with Anurag Kashyap, Kiran Rao, Nikkhil Advani, and Vikramaditya Motwane, serving as the executive producers.

Apart from Abhishek Banerjee and Shubham Vardhan, Stolen also stars Harish Khanna, Mia Maelzer, Sahidur Rahaman, and Shubham Vardhan in key roles.

Jaat (June 5)- Netflix

Jaat which released in theatres on April 10, is streaming on Netflix. Sunny Deol plays Brigadier Baldev Pratap Singh, who is the saviour of coastal village in Andhra Pradesh, ruled by the ruthless Ranatunga (Randeep Hooda), a former Sri Lankan labourer turned gangster. There is an intense face-off between Baldev and Ranatunga, as the former wants to end the tyrannical rule. The action thriller also stars Regina Cassandra, Saiyami Kher and Vineet Kumar Singh, among others in key roles.

Alappuzha Gymkhana (June 5)- SonyLIV

After a successful theatrical run, Alappuzha Gymkhana started streaming on SonyLIV on June 5, 2025. Set in Kerala바카라™s culture-rich Alappuzha, the film's plot is something that resonates with you because of its authenticity and raw emotions.

Chhal Kapat: The Deception (June 6)- ZEE5

The story follows an influencer's death during a destination wedding, and a brilliant police officer on a mission to unravel the truth. It stars Shriya Pilgaokar, Kamya Ahlawat, Ragini Dwivedi, and others.

The Survivors (June 6)- Netflix

Set in the coastal town of Evelyn Bay, Tasmania, the Australian limited series is about Kieran Elliott (Charlie Vickers), who returns home after fifteen years to take care of his ailing father. Then the past memories of a storm come back that took the lives of his brother and two others. A body of young woman is found that makes Kieran and the community to face the secrets and guilt. The series is the adaptation of Jane Harper바카라™s 2020 novel of the same name.

One of Them Days, Stick, Ginny & Georgia season 3, Tires season 2, Mercy for None, and Straw, among others are some of the other OTT releases you can enjoy this weekend.

Theatrical releases this week

Thug Life (June 5)

The much-awaited Thug Life, led by Kamal Haasan hit the theatres today, amid the Tamil-Kannada language controversy. Directed by Mani Ratnam, the film marks the reunion of Ratnam and Haasan, after nearly four decades. It also stars Silambarasan, who shares a very profound relationship with Kamal Haasan's character, but soon it takes a different turn. Both are seen in contrast sides- standing against each other.

The film also stars Trisha, Nasser, Ali Fazal, Abhirami, Joju George, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Gautham Karthik, and Vaiyapuri in significant roles.

Housefull 5 (June 6)

The Akshay Kumar led-film is the fifth instalment in the comedy franchise. Set on a cruise, the film also stars Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Jackie Shroff, Sanjay Dutt, Nana Patekar, Jacqueline Fernandez, Nargis Fakhri, and more. It is a combination of murder mystery and horror comedy that will take you on a adventurous ride and tickle your funny bones.

Housefull 5 is directed by Tarun Mansukhani, with Sajid Nadiadwala, serving as the writer and producer under his banner Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.
