Speaking to The Times Of India, Sara Khan revealed that they had split because of their differences. She mentioned that she had not anticipated that the breakup post would get attention from fans and the media. She added that it was an impulsive decision and she would act with maturity in the future.

She mentioned that while some fans lamented the end of their relationship, she also received a lot of negative comments and trolling. She talked about how the trolling affected her and she had to resort to blocking them.
