Akhil Akkineni's upcoming film with Sreeleela is titled Lenin. The romantic action drama is directed by Murali Kishor Abburu of Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha fame. Two schedules for Lenin have already been wrapped up. Akhil, who recently married his long-time girlfriend Zainab at a private ceremony in Hyderabad, will resume the shooting shortly.

As per a report in Hindustan Times, Akhil Akkineni-Sreeleela starrer Telugu movie, Lenin is based on the subject of honour killings. As per sources, it is set in the Rayalaseema region and is a period drama. It is about a specific temple in a small town of the region.

As per makers, Murali Kishore, has given a different spin to the screenplay of the film.

Akhil essays a character from a backward class and he has undergone a transformation for the film. The actor has even taken classes to learn the Rayalaseema dialect. For the first time, he will be seen in a mass avatar, and the expectations are quite high. Sreeleela is playing a village girl. Fans are eagerly waiting to see their chemistry on-screen.

Lenin has been jointly produced by Akhil's actor father, Nagarjuna Akkineni under his banner Annapurna Studios and Naga Vamsi바카라™s Sithara Entertainments. Thaman S is composing the music, who has already impressed everyone with the background score in Lenin teaser.

The film's title was unveiled in April this year. The teaser video opens with scenes which remind us of one of the final battles in Mahabharata. Akhil is seen in an intense look ready for battle. A voiceover says, "My dad said that when one is born, one has life and no name. Similarly, when one dies, one does not have life and only the name remains. How that name should be remembered is..." with title Lenin appearing on the screen. The film comes with a tagline, "No war is more violent than love."

Lenin release date is said to be announced at a special event.
