Lokesh Kanagaraj-directorial, Coolie, starring Rajinikanth in the lead role, is one of the most-anticipated upcoming films. Coolie's release date was announced on Friday, April 4. It will lock horns with Hrithik Roshan and Jr NTR-starrer War 2 on August 14, ahead of the Independence Day.
Coolie Release Date Announced
On Friday evening, the makers of the film announced its release date with a monochrome poster of Rajinikanth. 바카라œSound-ah yethu! Deva Varraaru #Coolie worldwide from August 14th,'' read the caption in the post.
The new poster shows Rajinikanth whistling as his forehead bleeds.

Coolie Vs War
Coolie will clash with Yash Raj's much-anticipated film War 2. In March this year, Yash Raj Films confirmed that their next installment of the Spy Universe, is all set to release worldwide in theatres on August 14.
Directed by Ayan Mukerji, the upcoming spy thriller is headlined by Hrithik Roshan, who was also part of the 2019 film, War. The sequel also stars Jr NTR. The film marks first collaboration of Hrithik and Jr NTR. Kiara Advani is also part of the film.
Coolie Cast
Apart from Rajinikanth, Coolie also stars Nagarjuna, Shruti Haasan, Sathyaraj, Upendra, Soubin Shahir, Reba Monica John, Junior MGR and Monisha Blessy, among others. Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan is reportedly playing a cameo in the upcoming film. Lokesh Kanagaraj even shared a behind-the-scenes picture with Aamir from the sets of Coolie.
Makers have also confirmed that Pooja Hegde will be part of a special song sequence.
