The Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has launched a scathing attack on Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leader Arvind Kejriwal, accusing him of using religious symbolism for electoral gains. The party shared a poster of Kejriwal on social media calling him a 바카라Chunavi Hindu바카라.
This comes in response to Kejriwal바카라s latest scheme 바카라 바카라Pujari Granthi Samman Rashi Scheme바카라 바카라 a proposal that promises Rs 18,000 per month to temple priests (pujaris) and gurdwara granthis.
The Delhi BJP mocked the AAP supremo in a series of posts on X. The arty released a poster of him dressed in a theatrical priest-like avatar, reminiscent of actor Rajpal Yadav바카라s character in the 2007 film Bhool Bhulaiyaa. The image showed Kejriwal adorned with rudraksha beads, flower garlands, and vermilion on his forehead, with incense sticks tucked behind his ear, in what the BJP described as a staged, election-time display of religiosity.
바카라Mandir jana hai bas mere liye ek chalaava, pujariyon ka samman bas mera chunavi dikhava, sanatan dharma ka maine humesha mazak banaya,바카라 the poster reads. ("Visiting temples for me is a cunning guise, respect for priests is an election façade, I바카라ve always ridiculed Sanatana Dharma.")
The BJP raised questions about Kejriwal바카라s previous record on religious matters. 바카라The man who has been busy providing salaries to imams for the past 10 years; who opposed the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya; who opened liquor shops near temples and gurdwaras; and who practices anti-Hindu politics - has suddenly started showing concern for priests and granthis,바카라 the party said in a tweet.
Delhi BJP president Veerendra Sachdeva described the move as a 바카라political stunt,바카라 accusing Kejriwal of desperation in light of his diminishing influence. 바카라He is now a defeated and desperate leader who is making populist announcements daily to stay in power,바카라 Sachdeva said.
Kejriwal hits back challenging BJP
Arvind Kejriwal quickly responded to BJP바카라s allegations and challenged them to implement similar schemes in the 20 states where it holds power.
바카라My question to them is 바카라 will the country benefit from abusing me?바카라 Kejriwal tweeted in Hindi. 바카라You have governments in 20 states and have been in power in Gujarat for 30 years. Why haven바카라t you respected the priests and granthis there till now? Come on, do it now.바카라
He further urged the BJP to stop the 바카라abuse바카라 and focus on doing something constructive, adding, 바카라I have shown the way to everyone. Instead of abusing me, why don바카라t you implement it in your 20 states? Then everyone will benefit.바카라
Congress joins the fray
Delhi Congress president Devender Yadav also weighed in, accusing Kejriwal of using 바카라desperate attempts to shine his tainted image바카라 ahead of elections. 바카라These announcements are nothing but trickery to influence voters,바카라
Yadav said, echoing the BJP바카라s claims that the proposal was an attempt to win Hindu votes by appealing to religious sentiments.
Delhi Assembly elections are scheduled to be held by February 2025.
