Deposed Bangladesh prime minister Sheikh Hasina바카라s Awami League has been banned in the country by the interim government, PTI has reported.
The move comes amid growing pressure from the newly formed National Citizen Party, Islamist groups and civil society groups.
On May 8 and 9, hundreds of activists of the National Citizen Party, led by student protesters who played a key role in Hasina바카라s ouster on 5 August last year, gathered outside chief advisor Muhammad Yunus바카라 residence 바카라Jamuna바카라 demanding that the Awami League be outlawed.
On Friday, May 9, Yunus had said on Friday, that the government was 바카라seriously considering바카라 the ban and that a decision on the matter 바카라would be made soon바카라.
