Marco Rubio, S Jaishankar Say Justice Day Has Come On Tahawwur Rana Extradition

Rana, a Canadian citizen and native of Pakistan, was brought to India by a NIA team after the 64-year-old former Pakistan Army officer exhausted all legal avenues to stall his extradition.

The United States has extradited Tahawwur Rana, a co-conspirator in the Mumbai terror attacks, to India to face charges바카라demonstrating its ongoing support for New Delhi바카라s efforts to hold those responsible for the attacks accountable, U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on April 11.

바카라We extradited Tahawwur Hussain Rana to India to face charges for his role in planning the horrific 2008 Mumbai terrorist attacks. Together, with India, we바카라ve long sought justice for the 166 people, including 6 Americans, who lost their lives in these attacks. I바카라m glad that day has come,바카라 Rubio said in a post on X.

A statement from the US state department quoted Rubio as saying that the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks 바카라shocked the entire world바카라.바카라Rubio said the US has for long supported India바카라s efforts to 바카라ensure those responsible for these attacks are brought to justice바카라.

Rubio added: 바카라As President Trump has said, the United States and India will continue to work together to combat the global scourge of terrorism.바카라

"Appreciate the counter-terrorism cooperation between our two countries. This is indeed a big step in ensuring justice for the victims of 26/11 attacks," External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar responded to Rubio in a post on X.

Rana, a Canadian citizen and native of Pakistan, was brought to India by a National Investigation Agency (NIA) team on Thursday after the 64-year-old former Pakistan Army officer exhausted all legal avenues to stall his extradition. NIA formally arrested Rana and a court remanded him in custody of the agency.

Rana is known to be associated with Pakistani-American terrorist David Coleman Headley, one of the main conspirators of the 26/11 attacks.

A total of 166 people, including six Americans, were killed in the 2008 Mumbai terror attacks in which 10 Pakistani terrorists laid a more than 60-hour siege, attacking and killing people at iconic and vital locations in Mumbai.
