Myanmar Junta leader Min Aung Hlaing will attend a regional summit, BIMSTEC summit in person in Bangkok on Friday, Thailand Foreign Ministry revealed. This summit will mostly be attended by South Asian leaders.

This trip of Min Aung Hlaing will be a rare visit of this Junta leader to a southeast Asian country. The 6th summit of BIMSTEC, Bay of Bengal Initiative for Multi Sectoral Technical and Economic Cooperation, is all set to take place on April 4, 2025 in Bangkok, Thailand, under the theme 바카라Prosperous, Resilient and Open BIMSTEC.바카라

BIMSTEC was established on June 6, 1997. Thailand was one of its founding members. Now it has seven member states including India, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Nepal and Bhutan, countries which share common economy, culture and relation between people.

Nikorndej Balankura, Thai foreign ministry spokesperson said 바카라He will join the meeting on the summit day.바카라 during a press conference on Wednesday when he was asked about the Junta leader바카라s attendance at the summit. He also added, 바카라I have, however, not received his traveling schedule yet.바카라

Min Aung Hlaing has been serving as the head of the country since the August 1, 2021 military coup.

He is also the Commander-in-Chief of Defence Services and chairs the State Administration Council, the military Junta governing the country.
