As the war in Ukraine rages on, Russia and Ukraine have exchanged aerial attacks overnight. Both sides have reported over 100 drones being downed over their respective territories.

These attacks also come hours after Russian President Vladimir Putin met with US special envoy Steve Witkoff to discuss the details of the Ukraine ceasefire.

While Ukraine has agreed to the 30-day ceasefire proposal, Russia has stated that it would need to lay down its conditions, which would need to be clarified and confirmed by the US before Putin agrees to a truce.

Following this meeting, Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelenskyy accused Moscow of "dragging out" the truce talks.

Taking to X, Zelenskyy stated that Russia was "deliberately setting conditions that only complicate and drag out the process". The details of the American ceasefire agreement for the Russia-Ukraine war are yet to be made public.

President Zelenskyy also added that Russia is working towards a "stronger position바카라 militarily before it commits to a ceasefire in the Ukraine war.

Meanwhile, Russia claimed it has retaken 28 parts of the Kursk region. As per a statement from the Russian Defence Ministry. 28 parts of the Kursk region have been "liberated" from Ukrainian forces.

Ukraine launched its first cross-border attack on Russia in August 2024 when it entered and took over the Kursk region.

The Russia-Ukraine war escalated in 2022 after Moscow launched a full invasion of Kyiv. As the war rages on, US and western allies are working towards implementing a ceasefire in the region, which would bring a halt to the worst war Europe has seen since the Second World War.
