US President Donald Trump denied a New York Times report suggesting that Elon Musk, his adviser and CEO of Dogecoin, would be briefed by the Pentagon on the U.S. military's plans for a potential war with China.

This denial followed comments from Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth, who confirmed that Pentagon officials would meet with the tech billionaire to discuss "innovation, efficiencies, and smarter production" on Friday.

"China will not even be mentioned or discussed," Trump stated in a post on Truth Social.

NYT Report

Earlier in the day, the New York Times cited sources to report that Elon Musk would be briefed about the United States바카라™s plans before they are presented to Trump. The report added that the alleged briefing would include 20 to 30 slides that lay out how the US would fight in a conflict with China.

Dismissing the report, Hegseth said on X: 바카라œWe look forward to welcoming @elonmusk to the Pentagon tomorrow. But the fake news delivers again 바카라” this is NOT a meeting about 바카라œtop secret China war plans.바카라 It바카라™s an informal meeting about innovation, efficiencies & smarter production. Gonna be great!바카라

President Trump called the New York Times report "ridiculous," stating, "China will not even be mentioned or discussed. How disgraceful it is that the discredited media can fabricate such lies. Anyway, the story is completely untrue!!!" he wrote.

The report emerges amid growing criticism of Elon Musk's involvement with the Trump administration.

Critics, especially far-left Democrats, have raised concerns about Musk's business ties to China and the Pentagon. The White House has previously stated that the billionaire will recuse himself if any conflicts of interest arise.
