Despite bold claims, Trump has no clear legal or logistical path to taking over Gaza

The world has reacted with shock and condemnation after US President Donald Trump declared his ambition to "take over" and 바카라own바카라 the Gaza Strip during a joint press conference with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Tuesday.

The idea, believed to have originated with Trump himself, was met with praise from Netanyahu, who called it "remarkable" and remained smiling beside the US president throughout the conference.

Trump went on to describe Gaza as 바카라a symbol of death and destruction,바카라 and suggested that those who 바카라lived there, died there, and lived a miserable existence there바카라 should instead relocate to 바카라other countries of interest바카라바카라all 1.8 million of them.

His offhand remarks on what he envisioned as the way forward have sparked outrage from world leaders, human rights groups, and UN officials, accusing him of openly suggesting ethnic cleansing.

Trump tried to sell his master plan for Gaza saying the people would have 바카라peace바카라 and they won바카라t be 바카라shot at바카라 and 바카라killed바카라.

바카라The only reason the Palestinians want to go back to Gaza is they have no alternative. It바카라s right now a demolition site. This is just a demolition site. Virtually every building is down. They바카라re living under fallen concrete that바카라s very dangerous and very precarious. They instead can occupy all of a beautiful area with homes and safety and they can live out their lives in peace and harmony instead of having to go back and do it again.바카라

And to make this plan a reality, Trump said, the US would 바카라take over the Gaza Strip바카라.

바카라The US will take over the Gaza Strip and we will do a job with it too. We바카라ll own it and be responsible for dismantling all of the dangerous unexploded bombs and other weapons on the site, level the site and get rid of the destroyed buildings, level it out. Create an economic development that will supply unlimited numbers of jobs and housing for the people of the area 바카라 do a real job, do something different,바카라 he added.

Netanyahu, who had been reluctant about the Gaza ceasefire when it was announced weeks ago, seemed positively satisfied with the proposal. In an interview with Fox News later in the day, he said it was the first good idea he바카라d heard.

바카라It바카라s a remarkable idea, and I think it should be really pursued, examined, and done, because I think it will create a different future for everyone.바카라

However, support for the plan to transform Gaza into the 바카라Riviera of Middle East바카라 remains limited.

UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres, at a UN committee meeting, warned against any form of ethnic cleansing in Gaza, in what is believed to be a response to President Trump바카라s announcement, though he did not explicitly mention any names.

And in his , Guterres said, 바카라The Palestinian people have the right to simply live as human beings in their own land.바카라

This is not the first time Donald Trump has proposed a 바카라clean out바카라 of Gaza. On January 26, during a question and answer session, Trump, while mentioning what a 바카라phenomenal location바카라 Gaza is and how something had to be done about it, said he would like to see Jordan, Egypt and other Arab nations increase the number of Palestinian refugees they are accepting.

However this suggestion was turned down by the two countries. Jordan바카라s foreign minister, Ayman Safadi said that his country바카라s rejection of the proposed transfer of Palestinians was 바카라firm and unwavering바카라.

And they have once again condemned Trump바카라s recent announcement declaring the US' ambitions of taking over Gaza.

Jordan's King Abdullah firmly rejected any attempts to annex land or displace Palestinians, while Egypt's Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty emphasised the need for faster humanitarian aid, saying Palestinians should not be forced to leave Gaza, as they remain deeply attached to their land.

World leaders have strongly opposed any forced displacement of Palestinians from Gaza. UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer stressed that Palestinians must be allowed to return home and rebuild, working toward a two-state solution.

Saudi Arabia reiterated that it would not normalise ties with Israel without the creation of a Palestinian state. Russia believes a settlement in the Middle East is only possible on the basis of a two-state solution. The UAE and China firmly rejected any attempts to displace Palestinians, while France warned that such actions would violate international law and destabilise the region.

Hamas has condemned the proposal as an attempt to expel Palestinians from their land.

The UN Human Rights Office said, "it is crucial that we move towards the next phase of the ceasefire, to release all hostages and arbitrarily detained prisoners, end the war and reconstruct Gaza, with full respect for international humanitarian law and international human rights law. Any forcible transfer in or deportation of people from occupied territory is strictly prohibited."

While Trump's announcement has sparked global debate, the big question remains바카라can he actually follow through with it? So far, there are no clear plans on how the U.S. would take control of Gaza. Even senior officials seemed caught off guard, with White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt later clarifying that any displacement would only be temporary.

Secretary of State Rubio echoed this, suggesting Gazans could leave for an "interim" period while reconstruction took place. However, Trump has not outlined any concrete steps, and the White House has stated that the US has no intention of sending troops or funding Gaza바카라s rebuilding.

Legally, the US cannot simply take over Gaza. Under international law, forcefully seizing territory is prohibited, and Israel cannot hand over Gaza to the US since it is considered occupied land. Any legal takeover would require Palestinian consent바카라something that is highly unlikely.

Moreover, neighbouring countries like Jordan and Egypt are in no position to facilitate the forced or voluntary removal of over two million Gazans. And other countries don바카라t seem likely to help in fulfilment of this plan.
