Former legislator from Gurez, Faqeer Muhammad Khan, allegedly ended his life using his licensed revolver at his government accommodation in Tulsibagh, Srinagar.
Khan, who contested the 2024 Assembly elections on a BJP ticket, was found dead in his official quarter. Authorities have launched a probe to ascertain the circumstances leading to his death, according to Greater Kashmir.
As per the reports, he has allegedly committed suicide, however it바카라™s matter of investigation, the officer added.
Meanwhile, the Jammu and Kashmir Assembly mourned his demise, observing two minutes of silence as a mark of respect. Political leaders have expressed their condolences, recalling his contributions to public service in the region.
The office of Chief Minister of J&K shared a post on X and said: "Deeply saddened by the passing of former legislator Faqeer Mohd Khan. He was a true grassroots leader. My heartfelt condolences to his family. May his soul rest in peace. The House observed a two-minute silence in his honor."
