Days after the deadly Pahalgam terror attack which killed 26 people, Jammu and Kashmir police on Tuesday released photos of three suspects and announced a reward of rupees 20 lakh on information of them, PTI reported.

A gunfight erupted between security forces and militants in the Shukroo forest area of Kellar in South Kashmir바카라�s Shopian district of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday, official confirmed PTI.

The encounter began when a joint team of police, army, and CRPF launched a cordon and search operation in the area.

As the forces approached the suspected location, militants hiding in the area opened fire, which was retaliated by the security forces.

In his first address after the India-Pakistan tension, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday said that Pakistan attacked our schools, colleges and religious places instead of coordinating in investigation.

"Instead of coordinating, Pakistan started attacking our schools, colleges and religious places. India damaged the airbases of the Pakistan which they were arrogant about," PM Modi said in his address.

PM Modi also said that India's counter-attack destroyed Pak's courage.

As per the reports, all schools and colleges in Kashmir except those in the border districts reopened on Tuesday following a suspension of hostilities between India and Pakistan.

Education institutes in Kupwara, and Baramulla districts, and those in the Gurez sector of Bandipora would remain closed for now, official told PTI.

According to the officials, Kashmir University will resume classes on Wednesday.

Days after a ceasefire agreement between India and Pakistan was reached, the Director Generals of Military Operations (DGMOs) and senior Army and Air Force officers held a press conference on Monday to provide further details about "Operation Sindoor".

During the press conference, Air Marshal AK Bharti said, "Our fight is against terror, not with the Pakistani military.

'Operation Sindoor', was began in the early hours on May 7, targeted nine terrorist camps across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK).

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Tuesday organised a Tiranga Yatra across the country to honour the armed forces following the success of Operation Sindoor.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday morning travelled to the Adampur air base in Punjab and interacted with air force personnel.

Citing source PTI reported that PM Modi went to the Adampur air base early morning. He was briefed by Air Force personnel and he also interacted with our brave jawans.

Modi's visit comes after days of intense conflict between India and Pakistan following Indian strikes in terror sites in the neighbouring country on May 7 under Operarion Sindoor.

The Congress party on Tuesday refused to comment on United States President Donald Trump taking credit for the truce between India and Pakistan, adding that the matter was confidential and would be discussed in the all-party meeting.

As per the PTI, Pakistan on Tuesday said that 11 military personnel were killed and 78 others injured during the recent military confrontation with India.

In a statement, the military also claimed that 40 civilians died and 121 others were injured in the "unprovoked and reprehensible dastardly attacks" by India on the night of May 6-7.

In a major counter-militant operation, security forces killed three Lashkar-e-Taiba militants in an intense exchange of fire in the Shukroo forest area of Keller in Shopian district, South Kashmir.

During a press conference on India-Pakistan conflict, Congress leader Ashok Gehlot asked PM Modi how a ceasefire could be done secretly.

He said, "The PM addressed the nation, it was disappointing, he talked good things, made some future promises about terrorism, atom bombs, it is good, but what the country was expecting, nobody understood the ceasefire, how it can be done secretly."

"We also don't want the war, the best thing that the armed forces did, neither did they hurt the civilians, nor attacked the Pakistani Army bases. The whole world commended," he added.

Further he said, "Everybody was angered over Pahalgam attack... Indian armed forces have been doing wonderfully well since the Independence. America has always pressured India... Simla accord happened, now US President has intervened, the PM, MEA should clarify why we are hearing him?"

Several schools in Jammu and Kashmir have reopened on May 13 after a ceasefire was established leading to the cessation of the ongoing conflict between India and Pakistan. In a post on X, J&K Education Minister Sakina Itoo asserted that, 바카라�All schools and colleges will reopen from May 13 in non-border districts of Jammu as well as Kashmir."

Days after the announcement of Indo-Pakistan ceasefire agreement after four-day long hostilities at the border, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday visited Punjab's Adampur air base and interacted with soldiers.

Adampur reportedly was one of the air force stations that Pakistan attempted to attack on the intervening night of May 9 and 10, following India's measured response 'Operation Sindoor'.

Pakistan바카라�s military on Tuesday confirmed that 11 members of its armed forces and 40 civilians were killed in the recent four-day military confrontation with India. The statement, issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) and reported by Dawn, said the confrontation also left 78 Pakistani personnel and 121 civilians injured.

On meeting the family of BSF Sub Inspector Mohammed Imtiaz who lost his life during shelling by Pakistan in J&K, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav said, "Yesterday, I met his son, but I was not able to meet other family members. So, I will meet his other family members and express my condolences to them. We are proud of him as a Bihar's son sacrificed his life for the nation's security."

On Tuesday, flight operations resumed at the Srinagar International Airport.

Officials said several flights to and from the Kashmir Valley were delayed while some airlines had already announced cancellation of flights for the day.

The reopening comes days after the Srinagar airport, along with 31 airports across the border states, were temporarily closed since May 9 in view of the military standoff between India and Pakistan.

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann on Tuesday announced Rs 5 lakh ex gratia from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund for the family of Sukhwinder Kaur, a resident of Khai Ke village, Ferozepur, who died from injuries sustained in a Pakistani drone attack.

The Chief Minister expressed deep sorrow over the tragic demise of Sukhwinder Kaur.

"Our government stands firmly with her family during this time of immense pain, and we are committed to providing all possible support to help them cope with this devastating loss," the chief minister said.

Rajya Sabha MP Sanjeev Arora also extended financial assistance, announcing Rs 2 lakh for Kaur's family to aid them in this difficult period.

Civil Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu, along with senior officials, held a meeting with airlines' representatives on Tuesday, and discussed about flight disruptions due to airport closures, lowering tax on jet fuel and other issues, according to sources.

At the meeting, which came in the backdrop of disruptions in flight operations in recent days in the wake of the military conflict between India and Pakistan, the minister also asked the airlines to look at ways of acknowledging the contributions made by the armed forces, including through in-flight announcements, the sources said.

The sources also said that some airlines mentioned the loss of Viability Gap Funding (VGF) during the days of the closure of the airports.

Some airlines also told the minister and officials that travel sentiment seems to be weak as there have been cancellations, especially with the peak summer travel season around the corner, as per the sources.

A total of 32 airports in the northern and western part of the country were temporarily shut for civilian flights in view of the India-Pakistan conflict on May 9. Some of these airports were closed immediately after India carried out missile strikes on terror targets in Pakistan on May 7. All 32 airports were reopened for civilian flights on May 12.

The bomb disposal squads of Army and police are undertaking a major exercise in Jammu and Kashmir's border villages to defuse the unexploded artillery and mortar shells fired by Pakistan.

Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo said they are monitoring the situation and will facilitate the return of the displaced border residents after getting clearance from the security agencies and will also ensure early compensation to those whose houses were damaged in the indiscriminate shelling on civilian areas.

The officials said dozens of unexploded explosives were destroyed by the experts along the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri and Poonch districts and along the International Border in Jammu and Samba which witnessed intense cross-border shelling and drone attacks from May 7 to May 10.

India on Tuesday expelled a Pakistani official working at the Pakistan high commission for indulging in activities not in keeping with his official status.

The external affairs ministry said the official has been given 24 hours to leave India.

The action came amid heightened tension between the two countries following their four-day military confrontation. India also issued a demarche to Pakistani Charge d' Affaires in New Delhi on the activities of the official.
