Acting on a directive from the Supreme Court, the Madhya Pradesh Police on the night of May 19 constituted a three-member Special Investigation Team (SIT) to investigate state minister Vijay Shah바카라s controversial remarks against Colonel Sofiya Qureshi, news agency PTI reported.

The SIT includes Inspector General of Police Pramod Verma, Deputy Inspector General Kalyan Chakravarty, and Superintendent of Police Vahini Singh.

The Supreme Court, while hearing the matter on Monday, strongly criticized Minister Shah for what it described as 바카라crass바카라 and inappropriate comments about Col Qureshi. In response, the court ordered the formation of a special investigation team to look into the FIR filed against Shah.

The court바카라s intervention and the formation of the SIT mark a significant escalation in the case, which has drawn sharp criticism from defense veterans and civil society groups across the country.

And before that, the Madhya Pradesh High Court on May 14 ordered registration of an FIR against state minister Vijay Shah for his controversial remarks targeted at Colonel Sofia Qureshi. The court castigated Shah for passing "scurrilous" remarks and using "language of the gutters" and said the armed forces were "perhaps the last institution in this country" that reflect integrity, discipline, sacrifice, selflessness, character, honour and indomitable courage.

Shah, the tribal affairs minister and BJP leader, sparked a major controversy with objectionable comments that appeared to be directed at Colonel Qureshi, whom he tried to project as a "sister of terrorists".

Colonel Qureshi had conducted regular press briefings, sharing details of the 'Operation Sindoor' launched by Indian armed forces to strike terrorists, joined by Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri and Wing Commander Vyomika Singh.
