Man Arrested In Punjab For Spying For Pakistan During Operation Sindoor

Punjab DGP Gaurav Yadav said that over 20 alleged ISI contacts were recovered from his phone and the police are conducting further investigations to track and comprehend the full scope of his network.

The Punjab police on Tuesday arrested a man from the Tarn Taran district of Punjab for allegedly sharing sensitive information pertaining to troop deployment and strategic locations during Operation Sindoor with Pakistan바카라s Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI). The man identified as Gagandeep Singh, a resident of Moahalla Rodupur was also allegedly in contact with a pro-Khalistani leader Gopal Singh Chawla, as reported by PTI

According to reports, the police recovered a phone containing information about Operation Sindoor with Pakistani Intelligence Operatives (PIO). 

Punjab Director General of Police Gaurav Yadav posted on X stating that 바카라Acting swiftly on information received from Counter-Intelligence-Punjab, @TarnTaranPolice, in a joint operation arrests Gagandeep Singh @ Gagan, a resident of Mohalla Rodupur, Gali Nazar Singh Wali, #TarnTaran. Arrested accused had been in contact with the #Pakistan #ISI and Gopal Singh Chawla, sharing sensitive information concerning army movements during #OperationSindoor.바카라

He also asserted that Gagandeep was in touch with the pro-Khalistani leader for five years and was introduced through his PIO network. 

The police have claimed that the accused allegedly received money in exchange for the information provided to the ISI. 

바카라Thorough financial and technical investigations are underway to trace other linkages and establish the full scope of this espionage network. An FIR has been registered under the Official Secrets Act at PS City, Tarn Taran, and further investigation is in progress,바카라 Yadav said.

The Punjab police have arrested six people so far on suspicions of espionage during Operation Sindoor.  

Operation Sindoor was conducted by India in retaliation to the Pahalgam terror attack that occurred on April 22 claiming 26 lives.
