Gujarat Home Minister, Harsh Sanghvi, visited the state's main forensic science laboratory to check on the DNA testing process for the victims of the recent Ahmedabad lane crash. The goal of the visit was to make sure the victims are identified as quickly as possible to bring relief to their waiting families.
During his visit, Sanghvi held a meeting with the forensic team working on the case. He stressed the importance of completing the work quickly and accurately.
"Today a meeting was organised in the Forensic Science Laboratory with the team, which is working to match the DNA of every family as soon as possible," Mr. Sanghvi said.
He also mentioned that they are getting extra help. "The Indian government has also sent major help in the form of forensic experts,"
To ensure the process moves smoothly, the minister said he would also visit the National Forensic Science University. "We are working on fast-tracking the process," he promised.
