India Women's Annual Contracts: Harmanpreet, Mandhana, Deepti Bag Grade 'A'; 16 Players In List

India women's cricket team skipper Harmanpreet Kaur, her deputy Smriti Mandhana and spinner Deepti Sharma are the three players to have bagged the highest Grade 'A' contract in the latest BCCI annual contracts. (More Cricket News)

Renuka Thakur, Jemimah Rodrigues, Richa Ghosh and Shafali Verma have earned Grade B, with a total of 16 players being awarded contracts for the 2024-25 season, effective from October 1, 2024 to September 30, 2025. Left-arm orthodox bowler Rajeshwari Gaikwad, who was in Grade B last year, didn't find a place this season.

Amanjot Kaur, Uma Chetry, Pooja Vastrakar, Arundhati Reddy, Sneh Rana, Titas Sadhu, Radha Yadav, Shreyanka Patil, Yastika Bhatia are the names in the Grade C bracket. Meghna Singh, Devika Vaidya, Sabbineni Meghana, Anjali Sarvani, and Harleen Deol, missed out on contracts.

A woman cricketer in the A category earns INR 50 lakh over and above match fee and INR 30 lakh and 10 lakh are allotted for B and C categories, respectively.

The Indian men's team's central contracts for the current season have not been announced yet. Ishan Kishan and Shreyas Iyer were among the two biggest omissions from the contracts list for the 2023-2024 season, while Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, Jasprit Bumrah and Ravindra Jadeja were part of the elite Grade A+ bracket.
