Rohit also became the fourth Indian and the tenth batter to reach the milestone in the 50-over format.
The 37-year-old needed just 12 runs and got to the historic feat, scoring a boundary off Mustafizur Rahman in the fourth over of India바카라s 229-run chase.
Rohit opened alongside his deputy Shubman Gill after Bangladesh were bowled out for 228 in 49.4 overs.
Rohit is now behind former India skipper Sourav Ganguly (11,363 runs) in the overall list of highest run-scorers in one-day internationals with Tendulkar leading the charts, comfortably with 18,246 runs in 463 matches.
India바카라s captain is also second in the list of the most sixes with 338 behind Pakistan's Shahid Afridi with 351 hits over the fence.
