The Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) finally rewrote history and buried years of heartbreak as they clinched their maiden IPL title with a six-run win over Punjab Kings in the IPL 2025 final. The victory in Ahmedabad wasn바카라™t just emotional바카라”it was also historic in many statistical ways.

Here's a look at some remarkable records and milestones from RCB바카라™s long-awaited triumph:

6255 Days of Waiting Ended:

It has been 6255 days since RCB played their very first IPL match on April 18, 2008, against Kolkata Knight Riders. After 286 matches across the IPL and Champions League T20, RCB finally lifted their first T20 trophy, ending an 18-year drought.

From Runners-Up to Champions:

RCB had lost all four of their previous finals바카라”three in the IPL (2009, 2011, 2016) and one in the CLT20바카라”while chasing. Tuesday바카라™s win marked the first time they held their nerve to win a final while defending a target. Delhi Capitals now hold the record for most men's T20 matches (274) without a title.

Eighth IPL Champion:

With this win, RCB became the eighth franchise to win the IPL trophy. Punjab Kings and Delhi Capitals remain the only founding members yet to win the title, while Lucknow Super Giants, who debuted in 2022, are also title-less.

Krunal Pandya: Man for the Finals:

Krunal Pandya etched his name in IPL folklore by becoming the first player to win the Player of the Match award in two IPL finals바카라”the first being in 2017 for Mumbai Indians. His game-changing 2/17 in the final capped off a stellar season.

Rajat Patidar Joins Elite Captain바카라™s Club:

Rajat Patidar became only the fourth captain to win the IPL in his debut season as skipper. He joined the elite list alongside Shane Warne (2008), Rohit Sharma (2013), and Hardik Pandya (2022). With only four international appearances before taking charge, Patidar is the second-least experienced India international to lead an IPL side바카라”after Nitish Rana (three).

Krunal바카라™s Perfect Finals Record:

Krunal Pandya now has a 4-0 win-loss record in IPL finals. He previously won titles with MI in 2017, 2019, and 2020. Only Rohit Sharma (6-0) has a better finals record. Krunal is now one of only eight players to have won four or more IPL finals.

All-Round Team Performance:

In an extraordinary show of balance, 10 RCB players either scored 20+ runs or took at least one wicket in the final. Only Phil Salt (16 runs and a catch) and Suyash Sharma (0/21 in 2 overs) missed out. This is only the second such occurrence in men바카라™s T20 finals바카라”the first being Delhi vs Rajasthan in the 2017-18 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy final.

Kohli: The King of Fours

Virat Kohli struck yet another record by becoming the highest boundary-hitter in IPL history. With 771 fours, he went past Shikhar Dhawan바카라™s tally of 768. Kohli ended the season as the third-highest run-scorer, with 657 runs in 15 matches.

As Bengaluru celebrated through the night and beyond, this statistical goldmine only reaffirmed the magnitude of RCB's maiden title바카라”a moment 18 years, 286 matches, and millions of prayers in the making.
