The 18th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) is ready to enter the final stage with four teams finalised for the playoffs. Mumbai Indians defeated Delhi Capitals by 59 runs on Wednesday to become the fourth team in the playoffs.
Now, the race to finish in the first two places is still on. Gujarat Titans are leading the points table with two matches to spare.
DC Eliminated!
After a big 59-run defeat against the Mumbai Indians at the Wankhede Stadium, Delhi Capitals have been eliminated from the race for the playoffs. MI batted first and made 180/5 and managed to restrict Axar Patel-less DC to 121 runs. Mitchell Santner and Jasprit Bumrah bowled economically and took three wickets each.
Tim Seifert Replaces Jacob Bethell In RCB
Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) have signed New Zealand wicketkeeper-batter Tim Seifert to replace Jacob Bethell, who will leave the team after their league-stage game against Sunrisers Hyderabad on May 23, 2025, to join the England team. Seifert's inclusion will be effective from May 24, 2025. With 66 T20Is under his belt, Seifert brings an impressive record of 1540 runs to the table. He will join RCB for a sum of INR 2 crore.
SKY Gives Interview In Umbrella
After playing a match-winning knock of an unbeaten 73 off 43 balls, Suryakumar Yadav came to receive the Player of the Match Award in an umbrella. During the post-match presentation, it started raining at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, and SKY came to do his post-match interview with an umbrella. He dedicated his POTM award to his wife.

Gujarat Titans openers Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill have been in tremendous form in this IPL season and the duo has played memorable knocks for the GT. The Titans are leading the points table with 18 points and these two batters are also the leading run-scorers of the season so far, with Sudharsan having the Orange cap.

RCB Players Play Pickleball
Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma were spotted teaming up at a Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) team bonding event, where the players and their families tried their hand at pickleball.
In a post shared by RCB on Instagram, Kohli was seen congratulating Anushka after she helped secure a point. Other notable attendees included RCB batting mentor Dinesh Karthik and his wife, as well as Indian squash star Dipika Pallikal.
The event was a fun distraction for the players, including Kohli, Phil Salt, and Liam Livingstone, who turned to pickleball after rain disrupted their practice session. Pickleball's growing popularity in India can be attributed to its accessibility and appeal to people of all ages.
