Most teams sport a fresh look this season as the mega auction ahead of the 2025 edition has drastically changed the personnel in the ten sides. Some like Chennai Super Kings, Mumbai Indians, Kolkata Knight Riders have managed to retain their cores while some like Punjab Kings have opted for yet another overhaul.

Let us dive deep and check out the team previews for all 10 sides ahead of the Indian Premier League 2025.

Chennai Super Kings

The Super Kings retained their team바카라™s core, securing the services of skipper Gaikwad, Ravindra Jadeja, Matheesha Pathirana, Shivam Dube, and the legendary MS Dhoni.

They also spent big money in the mega auction, signing Noor Ahmad, Devon Conway, and Rachin Ravindra among others. CSK also re-signed Ravichandran Ashwin for INR 9.75 crore, and his reunion with Dhoni will be one of this season바카라™s highlights.

Delhi Capitals

After three consecutive years of failing to qualify for play-offs, Delhi Capitals will be eyeing their maiden Indian Premier League (IPL) title in the upcoming 18th season of the tournament. Possessing a well-rounded squad with a potent pace attack and a solid batting order, the effectiveness of DC's batting unit and spinners will determine how successful they are.

Gujarat Titans

The Titans aim to find the consistency of their first two years and their decision to keep Rahul Tewatia, Sai Sudarshan, Rashid Khan, and Shubman Gill were expected. The addition of Jos Buttler further strengthens GT's top order.

GT have many options in fast bowling. The biggest name is Kagiso Rabad, while among Indians Mohammed Siraj and Prasidh Krishna too are top class bowlers. However, GT's middle order could be their weakest link.

Kolkata Knight Riders

As defending champions, KKR have retained a strong core, keeping six key players ahead of the IPL 2025 mega auction, providing a clear glimpse of their preferred playing XI. At the auction, KKR focused on continuity, bringing back most of their squad while letting go of only 4-5 key names. The team remains largely settled, with the owners opting for stability over drastic changes, trusting the formula that led them to success in 2024.

Lucknow Super Giants

LSG do have the opportunity to make the most threatening middle order ever assembled in the league. Pant, Pooran and Miller are all some of the fiercest hitters on the planet.

Mayank Yadav, Mohsin Khan and Avesh Khan are all currently at NCA waiting for approval from the medical team of BCCI. One of them can be replaced by Akash Deep but if a couple get ruled out, LSG could be in for a tough time.

Mumbai Indians

Mumbai Indians have a strong batting line-up and an experienced bowling group with Jasprit Bumrah and Trent Boult leading from the front. However, Bumrah will be missing the start of the tournament. Mitchell Santner and Hardik Pandya, the captain, are two top-class all-rounders in the squad. They have a big opportunity to become the first team of IPL to win six titles.

Punjab Kings

The Kings have opted for a complete overhaul of their squad ahead of this season, looking for that elusive IPL trophy. PBKS will look towards Shreyas Iyer as the much-needed catalyst for their title charge. They also have a threatening new ball pair of Arshdeep Singh and Marco Jansen.

Other than Shreyas Iyer and Marcus Stoinis, there is a lack of in-form, bonafide stars in the PBKS batting lineup. Glenn Maxwell is a beast when he is on song, but his powers are clearly declining.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru

RCB boasts a powerful top order with Virat Kohli, Phil Salt, and Rajat Patidar, offering a balanced mixture of experience, aggression, and versatility, making it a formidable force at the crease. There comes a strong middle orderas well, featuring Liam Livingstone and Tim David ensuring some late magic.

Despite the formidable strength of RCB's squad, a glaring weakness remains in their spin department.

Rajasthan Royals

Interstingly, Riyan Parag will be leading Rajasthan Royals in the first three games of the season where Sanju Samson will play only as a batter. With the batting order largely sorted, at the auction, Rajasthan looked to beef up their bowling department in the IPL 2025 mega auction, signing international stars like Jofra Archer and Fazalhaq Farooqi. The Sri Lankan duo of Wanindu Hasaranga and Maheesh Theekshana will also be crucial in the spin-friendly conditions of India.

SunRisers Hyderabad Preview

SRH's top five might look like this in the upcoming season: Abhishek Sharma, Travis Head, Nitish Kumar Reddy, Ishan Kishan, Heinrich Klaasen. This is enough to send shivers down the spines of every bowling line-up in the league. SRH's bowling could be a cause of concern. Also, their fourth foreign player is weak.
