Lucknow Super Giants Vs Sunrisers Hyderabad, IPL 2025: Playing XIs

Lucknow Super Giants (Playing XI): Mitchell Marsh, Aiden Markram, Nicholas Pooran, Rishabh Pant(w/c), Ayush Badoni, Abdul Samad, Akash Deep, Avesh Khan, Ravi Bishnoi, Digvesh Singh Rathi, William ORourke

Sunrisers Hyderabad (Playing XI): Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan(w), Nitish Kumar Reddy, Heinrich Klaasen, Aniket Verma, Kamindu Mendis, Pat Cummins(c), Harshal Patel, Harsh Dubey, Zeeshan Ansari, Eshan Malinga

LSG were off to a powerful start thanks to their in-form openers Mitchell Marsh and Aiden Markram who both scored 60s. Nicholas Pooran too contributed with 45 but a damp finish saw them finish with 205/7 which looked under par.

Eshan Malinga bowled his four overs for 28 runs and picked up the wickets of Ayush Badoni and Rishabh Pant who endured another failure.

Chasing 206, Abhishek Sharma helped SRH get off to a flier and the left-hander almost killed the game with his 20-ball 59 which included four back-to-back sixes off Ravi Bishnoi. Heinrich Klaasen, Kamindu Mendis and Ishan Kishan all contributed a bit to take SRH over the line.

The loss eliminates LSG from the race to the play-offs. They join SRH, CSK, RR and KKR in the teams no longer in the race which means only MI and DC have a chance to make the final four. GT, RCB and PBKS have already booked their spot for the IPL 2025 play-offs.
