Former Rajasthan Royals co-owner Raj Kundra has reportedly postponed a press conference that he was scheduled to hold on Monday, 2 June, to discuss the allegations of financial improprieties and money laundering that he had levelled against a key promoter of the Indian Premier League team.
The delay has come as a result of an interim injunction order issued by the High Court of Justice in London, obtained without notice by Emerging Media Ventures Limited and RR owner Manoj Badale. As per the order, Kundra cannot make any disclosures or statements about the claimants.

The controversy started in recent weeks, as Kundra took to LinkedIn to allege serious financial misconduct by an unnamed key promoter of his former side Rajasthan Royals. The claims include allegations of offshore money laundering and hidden transactions, as well as breaches of fiduciary duties.

The hearing to discharge the injunction is expected to occur during the week of 9 June 2025.

Raj Kundra is a British-Indian entrepreneur, married to Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty. Along with his wife, Kundra purchased an 11.7% stake in Rajasthan Royals in 2009 for approximately USD 15.4 million.
However, he left his role as co-owner in 2015 after being banned from cricket-related activities by the Supreme Court due to his involvement in the 2013 IPL betting scandal.
Since then, he has been involved in other businesses, as well as in other controversies due to his entertainment-related ventures.
Meanwhile, Rajasthan Royals have continued to challenge for their first IPL trophy since 2008. In IPL 2025, RR finished in ninth place, winning just four matches out of 14.
