Put in to bat, Singapore faltered, managing just 112/8 in their 20 overs. Skipper Manpreet Singh was the lone bright spot with a fighting 40 off 33 balls, while Chandramauli Sridev contributed 29 off 36. Apart from Aslan Ali Jafri바카라™s 11 off 10, no other batter managed to reach double digits.
The Saudi bowling attack was relentless. Ishtihaq Ahmad and Zain-ul-Abidin were the stars, picking up three wickets each. Ishtihaq gave away just 20 runs, while Zain-ul-Abidin was even more economical, conceding only 10.
Now, chasing the modest target, Saudi Arabia made light work with the bat. Opener Abdul Waheed gave them a flying start with a brisk 42 off 28 balls.
Though Faisal Khan fell for a duck, Usman Khalid stepped up with a handy 28 off 23. Faizan Tahir (20) and Nawazish Akhtar (18) then calmly took their side past the finish line in just 14.1 overs, ending at 115/3.
With this win, Saudi Arabia sit second on the table with four wins from five matches and 8 points. On the other hand, Singapore are third with just one win from five games (one match ended in a no result).
Saudi Arabia had claimed a 66-run win over Thailand in their previous outing, powered by Hisham Shaikh바카라™s stellar all-round performance. On the other hand, Singapore suffered a 28-run defeat to Malaysia, with Jonty Scott Iggo being their standout performer.
