Batting first, hosts Singapore posted 144 runs for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs, with Aritra Dutta top-scoring with 45 runs. Bahrain struggled early in their chase, losing two wickets for just 12 runs in four overs before rain interrupted play.
Pranav Sudarshan and Aahan Gopinath Achar bowled miserly spells to put pressure on Bahrain. Even one more of over of play would have been enough to constitute a result but that was unfortunately not to be.
