Earlier in the day, Saudi Arabia defeated Malaysia by five wickets in a high-scoring match to remain unbeaten in the four-team tournament.
Thailand also endured big defeats -- by 66 runs against the Saudis and by seven wickets against the tournament hosts. The Thais are yet to breach the 100-run mark. They were dismissed for 90 runs in 16.1 overs while chasing a 157-run target. In their second match, Austin Lazarus & Co. were shot out of 92.
