The Sudurpashchim Royals come to the final afterdefeating the Bolts by eight wickets in Qualifier 1, while Janakpur beat the Karnali Yaks in Qualifier 2 to seal their spot in the final.

The Royals finished on top of the ladder with six wins in seven matches, while the Bolts ended second with five victories in seven, and this one, promises to be a cracker

And what a start we have here in the final. The Royals are up and racing as Binod Bhandari smashes two sixes in the first over of the contest against Harsh Thaker.

After a 17-run first over, the Bolts have slowly gained a bit of bowling momentum and have given away just 15 runs in the three overs. Thaker, after an expensive first over, bowls a maiden in the second.

A good start is turning into a brilliant one for the Royals as the openers Saif Zaib and Binod Bhandari are putting on an absolute show and have scored stitched up a 55-run partnership in just seven overs and are motoring along nicely.

This is turning out to be some opening partnership now. Brilliant? No, not the word. This is turning out to be scintillating. 97-run partnership in a final, and all in just 10 overs. Saif Zaib has been the chief architect, scoring 59 from just 36 balls.

There's a bit of a fightback from the Janakpur Bolts as they have picked up two quick wickets as both Binod Bhandari and Saif Zaib are back to the hut. However, the Royals will be looking to score in excess of 185 with over seven overs to go.

The Janakpur Bolts have been disciplined in the last few overs, not giving away too many runs, and also picking up few crucial wickets during the final stages of the innings. With four overs to go, the Royals will eye to get at least 40 more runs.

And that's the first 20 overs of the final. The Sudurpashchim Royals have scored 184 for the loss of eight wickets in 20 overs. Saif Zaib top scored with 69, while he was well partnered by Binod Bhandari (41). There was a bit of a minor collapse as Kisore Mahato and Mohammad Mohsin picked three wickets each.

We are up and running with the second innings as Bolts chase 185 to be crowned champions of Nepal. They are off to a decent start with Lahiru Milantha and Aasif Sheikh scoring 16 in the first two overs.

Lahiru Milantha and Aasif Sheikh have made the powerplay their own, scoring 63 runs in five overs. A fiery start sees them well in control of the chase and the hot favourites, suddenly are in a spot of bother and have no where to hide.

It was Saif Zaib with the bat, and it is Zaib with the ball now as he picks up Aasif Sheikh for 33 at a crucial time of the game. However, the Bolts are going at 10 runs per over, having scored 90 for the loss of one in nine overs.

This now looks like a cake walk in T20 cricket. However, it is not, this truly is a funny game. The Bolts need 50 runs to win the Nepal Premier League with 42 balls to spare and eight wickets in hand. Lahiru Milantha is the name, remember it, and he will hope to take them home soon.

The Janakpur Bolts have been crowned the champions of Nepal after handing the Sudurpashchim Royals a five -wicket defeat with four balls to spare.
