The drama surrounding this season's I-League title continued as the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) on Sunday stayed the decision of the All India Football Federation (AIFF) to declare Churchill Brothers of Goa as the champions on an application filed by Inter Kashi

The AIFF, on April 18, belatedly announced Churchill Brothers as the I-League champions after the its Appeals Committee ruled against second-placed Inter Kashi, who had then knocked the doors of the world's highest sports tribunal based in Switzerland.

Pep Guardiola saw the hopes of retaining the Premier League evaporate whereas he also suffered heartbreaking exits in League Cup and Champions League. However, FA Cup glory could give the Spanish boss some relief.

NFC fans should look away from the possession stats - Nottingham Forest have had just 23.1% of the possession so far, completing just 34 passes compared to Manchester City's 131! Amazing.

MCFC's impressive talent Nico O'Reilly takes a shot from afar but hits it wide of the target. Forest are looking toothless in attack at the moment and something needs to change.

A chance nonetheless as Forest come forward with Callum Hudson-Odoi and the former Chelsea winger cutback is almost turned in by Chris Wood. It is offside but a chance for NFC.

No Haaland, no problem! Savinho is terrorizing the Nottingham Forest defence with his tricky feet but the Brazilian just cannot get the end product on.

HT upon us and City look the only team to be playing and taking a lead here. NFC have been pegged back in their own half and just need the break to rejig and reset themselves.

Matz Sels, who has been Forest's best player this season, keeps his side in the game with a save after save.. And they get a corner.

Corner and goal! Omar Marmoush delivers a neat corner delivery and is met by Josko Gvardiol who rises high from everyone and heads in to give City a 2-0 lead. Sucker punch that!

Jack Grealish becomes the first player of the evening to be booked as his high boot catches Morgan Gibbs-White.

City are piling up the pressure and look destined to score the third goal. Forest, who have been resolute in defence this season in PL, give away a corner. Corner taken and it falls to Omar Marmoush and the Egyptian drives in another shot. Sels is kept busy.

Morgan Gibbs-White nearly pulls one goal for Nottingham Forest & get back in this tie. The former Wolves midfielder meets a cross on the full and crashes a volley off the crossbar. Nearly for Forest!

What are City doing? Josko Gvardiol gives away the ball, and Morgan Gibbs-White pounces, rounds Stefan Ortega but the angle is tight and it comes back off the post.

City cannot bury their chances as Savinho and Nico O'Reilly both go close.

NFC have been denied by the woodwork yet again! Taiwo Awoniyi is the latest one now. The Nigerian forward reacts to a loose ball with a heel but the woodwork comes in the way.

Nuno Espirito Santo must be looking up the stars and thinking, where's our luck gone! They just cannot score past the City's net.

NFC are going through the motions as we are in extra-time but just cannot get at the end of it.

Manchester City will face Crystal Palace in the final of the FA Cup on 17 May.

"They pushed a little bit more in the second, we knew it. We lost some balls - the fatigue was there. The experience we have fell down. The ball, the way it bounces, for both sides is difficult to control it. It cannot be quicker. We managed and I am really pleased to again be in the FA Cup final."

On Crystal Palace: "Just take a look at what they did yesterday. We played them a few weeks ago and were 2-0. The pace they have up front and they have an extraordinary manager. They have so much physicality and experience. Hopefully it will be better than last season in the final against Manchester United."

If you win the FA Cup and finish the Champions League, not a bad season: "Champions League is the most important thing, that would limit the damage. This season has not been good. I want to say thank you to our fans, I know how difficult it is to come here with work tomorrow, the wickets and the travel. I can't thank them enough and hopefully they will join us and see us in the final."
