Kerala Blasters바카라™ young forward Korou Singh Thingujam is reportedly a transfer target for Danish Superliga side Brondby IF. According to media reports, the club, currently fourth in the Danish first division, has been monitoring Korou바카라™s developments for the past few weeks. (More Football News)
The 18-year-old forward is enjoying a breakout season for the Yellow Army in the Indian Super League (ISL) 2024-25, scoring two goals and chipping in with four assists in 17 league games.
Despite a disappointing league season for the Blasters where they finished in 8th position, the news of their young forward has brought a sense of pleasure to the ISL side바카라™s fans.
Korou is not the first KBFC youngster to get linked with foreign clubs either. 20-year-old goalkeeper Som Kumar moved to Slovenian side NK Radomlje in February.
However, Korou has a contract with the Blasters until 2029, and negotiations between the clubs won바카라™t be easy. KBFC will likely look to hold on to their starlet, and it remains to be seen if Brondby바카라™s bid 바카라“ if any 바카라“ tempts the side to cash in.
Korou Singh Thingujam바카라™s Career So Far
Korou Singh바카라™s career so far has been a story of perseverance. He was born in Chairel Manjil, Manipur to a family of farmers. He had trials in Imphal with Sudeva Delhi FC, and secured a youth contract with them.
He made his Durand Cup debut for the club in 2021, and got his first group game start against Jamshedpur FC. Following his strong performances in the FD Senior Division 2021-22 and AFC U-17 Asian Cup 2023, he was picked up by Kerala Blasters FC in 2023 for an undisclosed fee.
Initially joining the club바카라™s reserve team, Korou had to bide his time to get a senior nod, instead playing in the Kerala Premier League 2023-24.
In January 2024, he made his first appearance in the Blasters바카라™ senior team sheet, but did not get any minutes against Jamshedpur FC. However, he came on in the next match against NorthEast United FC on 20 January, making his senior debut for his new club.
With his 13-minute cameo, Korou became the youngest debutant for Kerala Blasters, aged just 17 years and 47 days.
However, he had to wait for ISL 2024-25 to finally enjoy his moment, and he secured his first assist for the club in a game against Hyderabad FC in November, becoming the youngest ISL player to get an assist.
The records continued to tumble, as he became the club바카라™s youngest and the league바카라™s second-youngest goalscorer after finding the net against Chennaiyin FC on 30 January.
Although yet to be capped by the senior national side, Korou Singh Thingujam has already played in four games for the U-20 team, and if his move to Brondby IF transpires, Manolo Marquez may look towards him to solve India바카라™s problems in the final third of the field.
