In what comes as distressing news to football lovers across the world, former England men's national football team manager Sven-Goran Eriksson has said that he has been diagnosed with terminal cancer and has about a year left to live "in the best case". ()
Eriksson told Swedish radio station P1: 바카라śEveryone understands that I have an illness that is not good. Everyone guesses it바카라™s cancer and it is. But I have to fight as long as I can. [I have] maybe at best a year, at worst a little less, or at best maybe even longer. You can바카라™t be absolutely sure. It is better not to think about it.바카라ť
바카라śI don바카라™t think the doctors I have can be totally sure; they can바카라™t put a day on it, he added.

Eriksson had quit his most recent assignment as the sporting director at Swedish club Karlstad 11 months ago due to health issues. He coached England for five years before leaving after the 2006 FIFA World Cup.
The high-profile manager had collapsed while on a 5km run in 2023, which caused doctors to initiate check-up. They told the 75-year-old that he had suffered a stroke, and eventually confirmed the terminal illness. 바카라śThey don바카라™t know how long I had cancer, maybe a month or a year,바카라ť Eriksson added.
He further said that amid the worrying development, he was trying to think positively. 바카라śYou can trick your brain. See the positive in things, don바카라™t wallow in adversity, because this is the biggest adversity of course, but make something good out of it,바카라ť Eriksson said.
