Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has become Cannes darling, since her debut appearance in 2002, for her film Devdas. The former Miss World has gone through a massive transformation with her sartorial choices at the Cannes Film Festival. Her style trajectory at the prestigious festival has always been most talked about, with several fashion aficionados taking inspiration from her.
The 'OG Indian queen of Cannes', who has been a Cannes regular for more than 20 years, returned to the Croisette on May 21, bringing back her saree look after years. She wore a Banarasi handcrafted ivory saree designed by Manish Malhotra and completed her look with a collection of ruby necklaces and rings- exuding royal vibes. She graced the red carpet for the screening of The History of Sound, at the 78 edition of the Cannes Film Festival.

On May 22, the 51-year-old star walked the red carpet, radiating glamour in a stunning ensemble. For her second look at Cannes 2025, the diva was seen decked in a sleek black sequinned gown by Gaurav Gupta. It was layered with a voluminous metallic cape, making it look dramatic. Standing tall in the black outfit, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan kept her hair open with soft curls and was all smiles as she posed for the photographers on the red carpet.
She opted for subtle makeup and minimal jewellery. She wore bold red lips to enhance her look. The Ponniyin Selvan actress was seen holding her daughter Aaradhya's hand as she walked to the venue.

Her Day 1 look, wearing an elegant saree, necklaces with rubies and flaunting the red sindoor, has earned praise from netizens. Many are speculating that the actress flaunting her sindoor was a reaffirmation of her marital status with Abhishek Bachchan, while many interpreted it as a tribute to the success of Operation Sindoor.
