Three-time Daytime Emmy winner Maurice Benard, who has been battling bipolar disorder, revealed that he contemplated suicide during the pandemic.
The actor, 60, who plays mobster Sonny Corinthos in 바카라General Hospital바카라, told People magazine in an interview that he thought about ending his life 바카라every day바카라 during the lockdown.
During the pandemic lockdown, his 바카라GH바카라 soap had shut down for four months and his tour across the country for his memoir 바카라Nothing General About It: How Love (and Lithium) Saved Me On and Off General Hospital바카라 was put on hold.
He said that while at the time what he would say out loud was, 바카라Okay,바카라 what was going on in his head was very different. 바카라I 'got it' but thought in my mind, 바카라It바카라s the end of the world, too바카라.바카라
바카라I felt a real cold rush in me,바카라 he told the magazine. 바카라And then that night I was shaking like a fish out of water and crying like a baby. This had never happened in my life. [His wife] Paula바카라s on the bed and I바카라m like, 바카라Baby, I바카라m done. What바카라s going on with me?바카라 In a calm voice, she says, 바카라Honey, you바카라re fine. You바카라re gonna be fine.바카라 And I바카라m like, 바카라What the f바카라 what do you mean. I바카라m gonna be fine?바카라 I was stuck in this horrific panic that wouldn바카라t leave.바카라
Benard then started a podcast called 바카라State of Mind바카라, talking with fellow actors about every aspect of mental health. That release did help a lot, and it still does, he said.
His book tour turned into Zoom interviews rather than travelling the country.
He revealed that he바카라d be talking with Dr Oz or Dr Drew or Charlemagne, the God on Zoom: 바카라And what I really wanted to say was, 바카라I'm gonna die. Can somebody please save me?바카라"
"It wouldn't go away. And it was bad,바카라 Benard said, confessing that he would look at the tree in front of his house and think about taking his own life.
바카라I was just figuring it out because I didn't want to use a gun because it's messy and ugly. That's what I thought about every day 바카라 the tree. And, I just did everything that I possibly could to survive.바카라
He was 22 when he was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 1985.
