Scottish filmmaker Lynne Ramsay's Die, My Love, starring Jennifer Lawrence and Robert Pattinson, is one of the most-anticipated films of Cannes 2025. The horror-comedy is all set to be premiered in competition at Festival de Cannes, on May 18.
The film marks Ramsay바카라s comeback to the Croisette, after she presented the 2017 thriller You Were Never Really Here, starring Joaquin Phoenix. It won Best Screenplay and Phoenix won the Best Actor award.
Ahead of its Cannes screening, a new clip from Lawrence and Pattinson's starrer released on Thursday, May 15. The short clip of Die, My Love shows Lawrence and Pattinson crawling through talk grass toward each other. When they meet, Pattinson's character asks, "Wanna get married?"
"Yeah. Yeah. F--- yeah," says Lawrence's character, and both kiss falling as they fall on the grass.
Die, My Love is adapted from the 2017 novel of the same name by Ariana Harwicz. The script has been co-written by Ramsay with Enda Walsh. The film shows Lawrence as a woman "engulfed by love and madness," as per a logline by Deadline. Pattinson plays Lawrence's husband and LaKeith Stanfield will be seen in the role of her lover.
It also stars Sissy Spacek and Nick Nolte, among others.
In an interview with GQ, Robert Pattinson recalled feeling stress while trying to prepare for an impromptu dance sequence in the film.
He had said, "I did this movie with Lynne Ramsay and she's a really good dancer, and Jennifer Lawrence, really good dancer," and added, "And they just find it so easy, and they're like 'Just dance, it's just music playing, just dance.' And I'm like 'I'm telling you, I'm going to have a mental breakdown when this happens. We need to either choreograph it or cut it,' and they're like 'Just dance, stop being a freak'."
Die, My Love has been produced Lawrence바카라s production company, Excellent Cadaver, alongside Black Label Media.
The release date of Die, My Love is yet to be announced.
