Disney+ has officially announced the OTT release date for Moana 2. The streaming platform shared that the highly anticipated film will stream on March 12, 2025.
Moana 2 features the voices of Auli바카라i Cravalho (for Moana) and Dwayne Johnson (for Maui). It had a theatrical release on November 27, 2024, and had a $1 billion box office run.
Moana 2 Plot
Moana 2 is an oceanic adventure which is set three years after the events of the original film.
The film synopsis reads: "Moana 2 reunites Moana (voice of Cravalho) and Maui (voice of Johnson) three years later for an expansive new voyage alongside a crew of unlikely seafarers. After receiving an unexpected call from her wayfinding ancestors, Moana must journey to the far seas of Oceania and into dangerous, long-lost waters for an adventure unlike anything she바카라s ever faced".

Directed by the trio David G. Derrick Jr., Jason Hand, and Dana Ledoux Miller, the sequel brought back the old cast including Rachel House who voiced Grandma Tala, Temuera Morrison as Chief Tui and Nicole Scherzinger as Sina. New cast members include Hualālai Chung as Moni, Awhimai Fraser as Matangi, David Fane as Kele, Gerald Ramsey as Tautai Vasa, Rose Matafeo as Loto, and Khaleesi Lambert-Tsuda as Simea.
The music of the film is composed by Grammy award-winning artists Abigail Barlow, Emily Bear, Opetaia Foa바카라i, and Mark Mancina.

Moana 2 made a gross collection of $1.053 billion worldwide, with $458.8 million at the domestic box office and $504.6 million internationally.
For the unversed, Moana 2 was initially developed as a Disney+ series but it was revamped into a film for a theatrical release and the strategy paid off.
